Providing Health Resources for the Greater Fresno County Area

Youth Reproductive Health is a one-stop resource for reproductive health education providers, families, and the general community. We provide the latest information on local statistics, programming, and current legislation, as well as resources that promote healthy practices in youth.

Educators

The California Healthy Youth Act (CHYA) requires all public schools to provide comprehensive reproductive education to all students 7-12th grade. FCSS can assist educators in meeting those requirements.

Health Professionals

Local community medical providers and school health care providers are essential in helping youth access confidential medical services. Access the latest statistics and other community agencies.

Families

The adolescent years can be a difficult time for parents and teens. FCSS provides support for parents educating their children about sex, risky behaviors and identifying unhealthy relationships.

About Our Funder

The Fresno County Superintendent of Schools would like to thank the Central Valley Community Foundation, in partnership with the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, for their generous contribution to the Central Valley Teen Parent Conference. This event would not be possible without the collaboration of community partners.

A Legacy of Access and Advocacy

For the last decade, the Central Valley Community Foundation has funded organizations that support young people’s transition into adulthood via life skills trainings, coaching and mentoring, high school completion and college enrollment, as well as teen parenting education. They have committed to providing access to comprehensive, medically accurate reproductive health education and clinical services to youth throughout the region. These programs empower youth and families through education and advocacy. The Central Valley Community Foundation has been a trusted partner in philanthropy in the Central Valley for more than 50 years. Their mission is to cultivate smart philanthropy; leading and investing in solutions that build stronger communities. For more information, please visit www.centralvalleycf.org.
